Job Summary

As Leader you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IBM Software & Systems business unit within the organization. This position requires strong leadership qualities, a keen business sense, in depth familiarity with IBM software solutions and systems encompassing Data & AI, AIOps, DevOps and business automation, as well as the capacity to foster collaboration for achieving successful outcomes.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute on the strategic plans to achieve business unit objectives.
  • Lead a team of sales professionals to sell products or services.
  • Responsible for specific key software projects delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and vendors.
  • Provide training and support to sales team members.
  • Collaborate closely with IBM to ensure alignment in the go-to-market strategies, address challenges that may arise in the collaboration process such as communication barriers or differing priorities, and foster strong relationships with IBM based on trust, transparency, and mutual respect.
  • Orchestrate and coordinate enablement efforts across various teams within GBM—including sales, technical sales, and delivery—on IBM technologies to deepen their knowledge and enrich their skills across diverse IBM software solutions.
  • Manage the financial performance of the Software BU, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue streams, improve margins, and optimize resource allocation.

Qualification / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
  • More than 10 years of leadership experience in the region working with one of the major Software companies.
  • Bilingual Arabic / English.
  • Extensive knowledge of IBM software solutions covering Data & AI, AIOps, DevOps, and Business Automation is a plus.
