General Description:
The Manager of Sales leads and manages the sales and business development operations across the assigned territory for GBM Qatar. Their primary objectives include formulating and maintaining a highly motivated and efficient sales and business development organization that builds and maintains excellent customer relationships and generates healthy business for GBM. Must have a proven track record of leading similar sales role within the Information Technology solutions and services business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
• Acquire strategic position for GBM and differentiate GBM from competition.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with GBM goals.
• Provide visionary leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture. - Team Management
• Recruit, Train, and mentor a high-caliber sales team.
• Set Clear Performance Expectations and provide ongoing feedback and guidance. - Client Relationship Management
• Build & maintain strong relationships with key client executives at existing and potential customers across
assigned territory Qatar.
• Work with team members and colleagues to identify new business opportunities while fostering customer
satisfaction and business growth within existing customers. - Sales Execution
• Lead the sales team in achieving and exceeding revenue, profit, Account Receivable, and customer satisfaction
targets.
• Directly engage in major sales opportunities, leading and guiding the team in complex deals to ensure we win
such opportunities and then successfully delivering to the customers.
• Guide the team to align customer expectation and GBM execution to ensure great customer experience in dealing
with GBM.
• Work with the team to address customers’ concerns and propose remedial action agreeable in-between GBM and
customer.
• Monitor the execution of action plans and ensure that the progress meets the expectations and to the satisfaction
of GBM and the customer. - Market Analysis
• Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes to ensure that GBM maintains its leadership role in
providing our customers with best of breed solutions to enhance their business.
• Utilize market knowledge and insights to improve sales strategies and execution and create a better position for
GBM in the Qatar market. - Collaboration
• Work closely with all line of business (LOB) professionals, marketing and operation teams, as well as partners to
maintain GBM leadership and growth.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales efforts with overall GBM business objectives. - Operational Excellence and Leadership
• Adhere to GBM’s processes and guidelines.
• Meet and exceed assigned GBM targets.
• Provide timely and accurate business forecast.
• Lead communication and facilitate collaboration among GBM team members.
• Develop and implement improvements to grow and enhance GBM business.
Qualifications / Skills:
- 10+ years of experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director in the technology industry serving in Qatar or the region.
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enterprise technology and business value skills.
- Ability to formulate and execute strategic sales plans.
- Client Centric approach with the commitment to meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Data-driven decision-making skills with proficiency in analyzing sales metrics.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
- Proven ability to position products and services against competitors.
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or IT related field. MBA is a plus.
