Position Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator with proven hands-on expertise in Zabbix monitoring and a strong understanding of Grafana dashboards and visualization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our Linux environment, while designing and maintaining robust monitoring and alerting systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar). 
  • Set up, tune, and maintain Zabbix for performance monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning. 
  • Integrate Zabbix data with Grafana for creating insightful and dynamic dashboards. 
  • Develop custom monitoring templates, triggers, and scripts to automate infrastructure health checks. 
  • Perform system upgrades, apply security patches, and ensure system integrity. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and staging environments. 
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Networking, and Security teams to optimize infrastructure reliability. 
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and monitoring procedures. 
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Bash scripting. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response activities as needed. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux systems in an enterprise environment. 
  • Proven experience implementing and managing Zabbix monitoring systems. 
  • Strong understanding of Grafana for data visualization, dashboard creation, and metrics analysis. 
  • Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for automation and system management. 
  • Solid knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, and system performance tuning. 
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) technologies. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience integrating Zabbix with other data sources or ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow). 
  • Familiarity with Prometheus, Elastic Stack, or related observability tools. 
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. 
  • Knowledge of configuration management and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
