Infrastructure Architect -Cloud focused

Summary

• Senior technical resource in the Enterprise Architecture group, supporting the cloud adoption teams through guidance, advice, discussion, and technical assets.

Responsibilities

• Advice and guide the implementation of cloud services and optimization efforts
• Lead the creation of reusable design templates & artifacts while assisting with design best practices
• Coordinate all technical requirements and act as a liaison across other teams including EA, cloud developers, and cloud engineers
• Identify opportunities to automate change management and auditing
• Optimize hosting of workloads from on-premises to cloud and vice versa based in accordance with the pricing, data privacy, etc…
• Plan, architect, and guide implementation of optimal disaster recovery sites and data center

Skills / Disciplines

• Experience with cloud-native architectures
• Experience with traditional data center and related practices
• Strong knowledge of pricing methodologies followed by different public cloud solution vendors.
• Azure and cloud ecosystems expert
• Cloud 3rd party tools
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, automation tools
• Strong knowledge of cloud adoption best practices
• Strong knowledge of Virtual network technologies and design patterns in the cloud
• Workload architecture & sizing experience -Big Data, Analytics, RDBMS, EDW
• Specific knowledge of networking concepts between on-premand cloud

Qualifications

• Public Cloud Certification
• Hands-on cloud experience –Deployment of Landing Zone & application migrations
• Strong experience in an enterprise network environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
• 5 + years of experience as an Infrastructure Architect -Cloud-focused
• Candidates are must be ready to travel to Qatar immediately.
