Job Description

GBM’s SDDC and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure is an established practice and is currently expanding. There is a requirement for an individual with a minimum of 5-6 years of technical experience as Presales Consultant to drive SDDC/Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure opportunities.


Job Responsibilities

  • Should play a key role in leading the complete presales phase of Hybrid/MultiCloud infrastructure solution design and architecture.
  • Practical understanding of Hybrid/MultiCloud infrastructure with experience in overall transformation, consulting, consolidation and migration of computing, server virtualization, storage, hyper-converged infrastructure, DC automation, and orchestration, disaster recovery processes, containerization with very good knowledge of DC SDN and Security.
  • Assess customer IT Infrastructure environment and technology landscape for Cloud Infrastructure suitability, develop a business case and Cloud adoption roadmap.
  • Drive architecture led selling with excellent knowledge on VMWare Cloud Foundation architecture, VMWare Cloud on AWS and Azure, HCI (VSAN, VxRail, Nutanix), VMWare Tanzu, End User Computing, VRealize Automation and Orchestration, and NSX SDN/Security solution.
  • Lead SDDC hybrid cloud infrastructure discussion with a deep understanding of AWS, MS Azure Infrastructure based solutions along with VMWare hybrid cloud portfolio.
  • Architect, design, and migrate Customer’s Data Centers to Hybrid MultiCloud environment, with focus on infrastructure technologies and prepare related architecture, high-level design, full technical and commercial proposal, and other presales documents.
  • Should be able to lead the overall solution with relevant SDDC ecosystem including Dell, Nutanix, Lenovo, Cisco DC, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, and a few other SDDC vendors if needed.
  • Actively participate as a specialist thorough competitive knowledge on on-prem, cloud, and hybrid/multi-infrastructure including solution, technology, and product offerings.
  • Should be able to lead DC Networking and Security infrastructure opportunities to design end-to-end SDCC/Hybrid Cloud solutions. Work closely with Network and Security team to develop opportunities jointly.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Certifications :

Currently holds advanced level VMWare, AWS, and MS Azure certifications:

  • VCDX DCV (preferable)
  • VCAP (DCV, CMA), VCP-NV Optional
  • VCP 6. x (DCV, NV, CMA), VCP-EUC (Optional)
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator

Qualification and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems from an accredited University.
  • 5-6 years of technical experience as Presales Consultant to drive SDDC/Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of experience with container technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, or PaaS.
  • Candidates should be available Locally in Qatar or Out of Qatar, and ready to join ASAP.
