Sr. Network Security Engineer – Implementation
The primary role of the Security Engineer is to plan, design, implement, audit, optimize and troubleshoot network security solutions and products for our rapidly growing customer base. This includes providing subject matter expertise, consulting and knowledge transfer around specific technologies, solutions and products.
Core Responsibilities
- Planning and Implementation:
- Plan, design, and implement network security projects.
- Optimize and troubleshoot security solutions.
- Provide knowledge transfer and subject matter expertise.
- Assessment & Documentation:
- Perform assessments of existing network infrastructures.
- Document “as-is” environments and provide findings and recommendations to clients.
- Client Relations:
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients.
- Present technical project work in a client-friendly manner.
- Technical Knowledge & Expertise:
- Have expertise in Networking and Data Center technologies.
- Be adept in next-gen firewall, IPS, and other key security technologies.
Required Technical Skills:
Must-have Expertise:
- Next-Gen Firewalls and IPS (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco FTD)
- Cisco ISE
- Broadcom (BlueCoat) Proxy
- F5 LTM / ASM
Optional:
- F5 APM / GTM
- Cisco ESA & SMA
Certifications & Experience:
- Engineering Degree.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Network Security.
- Certifications: Cisco CCIE/CCNP Security, F5 BIG IP Administrator.
- Certified experience with Cisco ISE.
- Strong background in implementing multivendor security solutions including Firewall, IPS/IDS, UTM, Network Management, and SIEM tools.
Additional Skills:
- Collaboration with pre-sales, project teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to handle multivendor technologies like Cisco, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, MacAfee, F5, and Arbor.
This role demands a balance between deep technical expertise and strong client-facing skills, focusing on network security solutions.
