Job Summary

The candidate should end-to-end manage multiple key client IT/Technology/Digital Services projects simultaneously. Project management responsibilities include steering the execution and completion of such projects on time within budget and scope. Candidate should be capable to oversee all aspects of projects from kick-off to production go-live/implementation and would include setting deadlines, forming teams, assigning tasks, controlling execution, managing issues, risks & dependencies, communicating effectively with clients and reporting the progress of the project to stake-holders, both internal and external. IT Services projects that GBM manage will cover areas such as (but not limited to) Digital Transformation, Application Modernization, Application Development, S/W implementation, System Integration, ERP/CRM/Package implementation, Data Analytics, Data Warehouse, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

  • Take-over the project from the sales/ pre-sales teams and understand the project scope and contractual obligations.
  • Create the project charter, plan and WBS and form the right-skilled team within the financial parameters of the project.
  • Set client expectations at the start.
  • Coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects through Discovery/Requirements Analysis, Architecture and Design, Development, Test and Deployment phases.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and budget, exceeding client expectations.
  • Steer the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Ensure creation of comprehensive project documentation.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing client/GBM objectives for the projects and exploring opportunities to drive innovation and optimization.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent
  • 12+ years of total IT experience, with 7 + years in project management of IT/Technology Services projects with established firms.
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
  • ITIL or ITSM certifications are preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is mandatory.
  • The candidate must be available immediately to join GBM.
