Service Delivery Lead

  • Lead the software and technology team, providing guidance on technical issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Leverage his/her extensive technical knowledge to drive innovation and best practices within the team and assist the team in resolving complex technical issues
  • Develop the team’s technical leadership and soft skills in line with business priorities
  • Manage the Project Managers Office to ensure that projects are being delivered on time, define, and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve project delivery efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement project plan, making effective use of resources, develop procedures and methodologies, and streamline workflows to enhance project outcomes
  • Work with Project Managers to develop budgets, timelines, and resource plans for projects
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and innovative work culture
  • Review and approve effort estimates and cost sheets
  • Review and approve technical and commercial proposals
  • Perform projects reviews and take responsibility for ensuring that all project issues and risks are tracked and managed appropriately
  • Ensure the Delivery meets labor and quality standards and take the lead in improving and setting Delivery standards
  • Handle customer escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Work with the Sales and Pre-Sales team to define solutions for winning proposals and to ensure that the solution can be delivered as per the proposal
  • Review customer and vendor contracts to remove or reduce project and business risks
  • Keep senior management informed of progress Prepare presentations for Senior Management

Experience & Qualifications

  • University Degree in STEM fields, computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience and technical understanding of a wide range of IBM products: IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, IBM Db2, IBM ACE, IBM DataPower, IBM API Connect, IBM BPM/BAW, IBM Power, IBM Storage Systems, etc.
  • Proven experience in leading diverse technology teams and managing projects
  • Project Management experience and certification is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex multi-variate problems analytically and systematically, showcasing a track record of developing innovative and effective solutions. The ideal candidate should possess the skills to dissect intricate technological challenges, considering variables across programming, networking, security, and operating systems
  • The candidate should be adept at identifying root causes, leveraging data-driven insights, and applying critical thinking to navigate and resolve intricate issues within the realm of software and technology
  • Excellent communication skills with strong decision-making
  • Excellent track records in leading and performing under high-pressure situations
  • In-depth knowledge of Cloud/Multicloud technologies and architecture
  • Very good knowledge of Data, AI, and automation technologies
  • Working knowledge and technical understanding of network technologies and security technologies
  • Consulting experience (preferred)
  • Broad technical skills and experience in a Solution Architect role is an advantage
  • Familiarity with both the Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
  • International experience in delivering complex projects is an advantage
  • Highly proficient in English
  • Fluency in Arabic is an advantage
  • 15+ Years in IT Industry
  • 5+ Year in a leadership role
