Linux & Virtualization Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• System administration includes the following main skill-set: key system administration skills (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, investigation, tuning, patching, scripting, integrating with security systems, documentation) mainly in the products/areas that the IBM team.
• Extensive knowledge of RedHat Linux, VMware vSphere, and Storage Administration.
• Define operation procedures based on best industry-standard practices.
• On-the-job-training for system administrators on infrastructure operations
• Hands-on experience in Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Experience in Tuning, patching, scripting, integrating with security systems
• Provides L3 engineering support
• Serve as a mentor on procedural matters to less experienced internal and third-party team members.
• Assist experienced team members with the delegation of work packages.

Certification Any One

• Red Hat certifications in Linux and VMware administration preferred

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.
• 5 + years of experience as a Linux, VMware, and Storage Administrator
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Candidates must be available locally in Qatar with transferable visas and ready to join immediately.
